Il 20 Maggio parte la 44 esima Vogalonga
Durante una regata svoltasi nel 1974 tra un gruppo di veneziani, sia dilettanti che professionisti, nacque l’idea di istituire una regata dedicata a tutti gli appassionati della voga veneta, per rilanciare questa tradizione e contro il il moto ondoso nella Laguna.
Nel 1975 fu presentato un bando ufficiale per l’istituzione della Vogalonga, Il percorso, lungo circa 30 km, fu studiato per toccare dei luoghi significativi e centrali di Venezia, della sua Laguna e terminare dinanzi alla Punta della Dogana.
La prima Vogalonga l’8 maggio 1975, giorno della ’’Sensa’’, con la partenza di tutte le imbarcazioni in Bacino S.Marco , avviata da un colpo di cannone.
Con le successive edizioni, la Vogalonga vide gradualmente aumentare consenso e partecipazione, arrivando a superare le 1.600 imbarcazioni e oltre i 6.000 iscritti nel 2008, con regatanti provenienti ormai da tutto il mondo e con ogni genere d’imbarcazione, purché a remi.
During a regatta held in 1974 between a group of Venetians, both amateurs and professionals, the idea was born to establish a regatta dedicated to all fans of Venetian rowing, to revive this tradition and against the wave in the lagoon.
In 1975 an official announcement was presented for the establishment of the Vogalonga, The route, about 30 km long, was studied to touch the significant and central places of Venice, its Lagoon and finish in front of the Punta della Dogana.
The first Vogalonga on May 8, 1975, day of the ” Sensa ”, with the departure of all the boats in Bacino S.Marco, started from a cannon shot.
With the following editions, the Vogalonga gradually increased consensus and participation, reaching more than 1,600 boats and more than 6,000 registered in 2008, with regattas now from all over the world and with every kind of boat, provided rowing.
Lors d’une régate tenue en 1974 entre un groupe de Vénitiens, amateurs et professionnels, l’idée est née d’établir une régate dédiée à tous les fans de l’aviron vénitien, pour faire revivre cette tradition et contre la vague dans le lagon.
En 1975, une annonce officielle a été présentée pour l’établissement de la Vogalonga. La route, longue d’environ 30 km, a été étudiée pour toucher les lieux importants et centraux de Venise, sa lagune et se terminer devant la Punta della Dogana.
Le premier Vogalonga le 8 mai 1975, jour du “Sensa Sensa”, avec le départ de tous les bateaux de Bacino S.Marco, est parti d’un coup de canon.
Avec les éditions suivantes, le Vogalonga a progressivement augmenté le consensus et la participation, atteignant plus de 1.600 bateaux et plus de 6.000 inscrits en 2008, avec des régates en provenance du monde entier et avec tous les types de bateaux, à l’aviron.
